Relationship Tip #1: Find Girlfriends Not Just Dates

Most of our tips are designed to help guys meet up with girls for sex, yes. However, many of them also work equally well for men looking to get into relationships.

There are a few things you need to know about the initial stage of looking for a girlfriend. Make sure to pay close attention, since this can be the difference between a one night stand and an experience that kicks off the rest of your life, and hers.

Stay off hookup sites.

We know, we were just talking about how great hookup sites are and how many women we went out with, but if you’re looking for relationships, they aren’t the sites for you.

Hookup sites are great for men who are looking to meet women for just one night. Don’t abuse them by looking for a relationship on there, thinking that you’re going to be the one classy bloke among a sea of gross men looking for quick, dirty sex.

Instead, you’ll be the one who’s just ignoring what women want in favor of what HE wants. No woman is going to choose that man over an honest one who’s using the proper websites.

Instead, use great sites that are full of women looking for relationships. There are many more of those than there are of the other kind, and all the women on those sites will be glad to meet you instead of annoyed.

It doesn’t have to be a grind.

We know it can be difficult to meet women in the UK when you’re looking for a relationship. Getting stressed and annoyed that it isn’t all happening right away isn’t the best way to get yourself ahead in the dating game. Relax, and don’t stress about how quickly it works out.

It’s difficult to say when you’ll meet the right woman for you. It takes many men years and years to find what they’re looking for. We’re not saying you’re going to be one of them, but a little patience when you’re looking through dating sites will be appreciated by everyone involved.

Let things happen naturally.

One of the biggest reasons men get annoyed and burnt out on dating sites is the fact that they think it has to all start in a certain way. They think that they have to do everything right, and that every email not returned is another beautiful relationship they could have had.

You need to relax. Relationships are important, but they need to evolve naturally. Even if you’re deliberately setting yourself up for a relationship by hanging around a dating site, you’re still going to need to wait until the chemistry first sparks for something to happen between you and whatever woman you happen to be meeting.

Make friends first.

Think of how many friends you’ve had, and how many relationships you’ve had. Unless you’re living a truly remarkable and atypical life, you’ve made many more friends than girlfriends in your life.

That’s because it’s far easier to make a friend than it is to make a girlfriend out of a stranger. If you want to get to know a girl, become her friend. This is a great way to find out if you two are compatible, or if you’re going to be wasting both of your time with anything more.

You don’t have to take her out to concerts and to football matches and the like, of course. Just banter a bit about your interests first, and don’t stress about whether it’ll lead to anything more.

Don’t become her friend just to get into her pants.

This is one of the biggest, worst mistakes men can make. If you’re honestly only interested in meeting women for sex, stay on hookup sites and away from traditional dating sites.

But if you want to meet a woman that you can have a good time with, have sex AND companionship with, and build a lasting relationship with, you’re going to want to find a woman that you can be friends with.

That doesn’t mean you should pretend to be a woman’s friend to get laid. It also doesn’t mean that you should only make friends with a woman so that you can get laid.

First of all, this is a sleazy thing to do. It will not get you a relationship. Women can see this behavior coming a mile away, and they will not thank you for it in the long run.

Second of all, if you think making friends with women is useless, go back to hookup sites. No one there is expecting anything else from you.
